toptutweekendstamp.jpgIt’s been a busy and stressful week for me, tons of work, much more than I could handle but I did it all in time, even won a new, probably long term, client for Lorelei Web Design and made a new page for Fantasy Art eCards greetings. Smileys Kit website got pimped and finally looks like a website, rather than a pitiful coding attempt.
This week I decided to look closely at my SEO and started to work on getting links from PR3+ websites. Not an easy task I must say, but that is only because my goals are high. At present I have 3,320 backlinks (last week I had 2,995). I tried to calculate roughly how much more would I need, and I came to realize that I won’t get PR6 before I collect at least 3 times more backlinks from PR4+. I should think that 10k links would be enough for Page Rank 6, however I doubt I will manage before the next update. I am working on genuine links with various anchor texts on different blogs and PR’s, trying to cover a bigger variety of keywords to avoid been blacklisted for spam by SE. My Blog Juice Last week, my so-called Blog Juice were 2.6 and over the past week it climbed up to 2.8, mostly thanks to a little Alexa and Technorati improvement. All this work just in hope to get my PR5 back, this time using a different SEO tactic.
What else happened over the past 7 days? I participated in a several contests and got my account approved by Kontera. Normally they require no less than 200,000 hits monthly, but thanks to partnership with someone I was accepted despite having less impressive traffic data. I hope the inline ads won’t irritate the readers too much. So now I can peacefully have some offline time over the Sunday, cleaning up the corner around my desk. Oh damn, I’d rather work ’til I drop semi-alive online!
