Get many quality PR4 backlinks for FREE

After I have published last month my rather controversial post – ‘Get many quality PR5 backlinks for FREE‘, I got quite a few emails and comments criticizing the way I take the D-List and advocate blatant spamming for the sake of a link.

Let me get this straight – I do not support spam, and as I said in my previous post already, I am against leaving silly comments on other’s blogs just as much as I am against to have my own [do-follow] blog spammed. If you want to get some more info as to how the “free links” strategy works, please go here. Once again, leave a comment only in blogs and posts where you feel you have something to say, as an addition to content, or reaction.

* Super Spammy Tip: I’d suggest, if you are really sneaky, to look at the older posts that interest you where you might be able to comment, because… Older posts are more likely to be well indexed and have their own PR!

Also, the bloggers from the list above are going to get a ‘ping’ and will most likely come to check who is the kind spirit that linked to them, so if you want this kind spirit to change your anchor text, please drop me a line.

  1. As #13 on your list, I don’t mind comments as long as they are relevant to the subject and they don’t provide a link to a spammy site. Keep in mind that even with the “follow” attribute included, many of us will delete lousy comments later.

Two things to keep in mind: be interesting and link to a site that is informative.

  2. I’m #9 on the list. I removed no-follow to encourage discussion on my blog.

Like Matt I delete lousy comments and “suspicious” multiple comments from the same person

Please kind spirit if you could change my anchor text from “Best Real Income” to “Home Based Business” I’d be very grateful.

  3. #4 here… just wanted to say thanks for the link!

I completely agree with the above commenters… comments aren’t spam as long as they’re relevant. That’s why I opted for the plugin that removes the no-follow only after several comments are posted… filters out the spammers and the one-time visitors.

  4. I’m #5 in the list. Thank you so much for the link. I’ve been PR4 for a quite a while. It seems like it won’t go forward!

  5. Speaking as #12 on the list, I have to agree with the other comments here. I love getting comments but if it’s spam, I am definitely going to delete it at some point. And if one leaves spam in my guestbook, I will delete that as soon as it shows up!

  6. There will be times that comments are somehow related to the post but if you look at the blog or site… its not promoting ideas the same as yours… Most of the time i consider those as spam… Make sure to check the comments one by one to avoid spammers to intrude your blog / site…. I love your post…

  8. #14. Appreciate the link and being called a quality blog, but I hate to break it to you…I took “do follow” off. Too many spammy comments since I started on the list, even when moderating. I have multiple blogs, and found people would follow the “do follow” list like clockwork, hitting one blog after the other. It’s a dead give away to get 6 comments from the exact same person within 10 minutes, one on each “do follow” blog. I turned it off on multiple blogs last week. I emailed and asked to be taken off the do-follow list.

  9. There is absolutely no need to SPAM these days with so many free advertising opportunities out there for marketers. Many times, all you have to do is contribute something constructive to say to earn your right to a link. Plus there are sites like Adwido, that welcome explicit advertising. If you are a spammer in this day and age you should be ashamed of yourself.
