Nothing occupies webmasters attention more these days than Search Engines Optimization. The better you optimize, the more traffic you get from Google and other SE, however, the main problem is, not everyone know how to do it and what SEO is in the first place.

Today, the guys behind brandattention.com asked me to review their website and give my opinion about their services. After reading through their website, I realized these are real professionals who know what they are doing, because if you decide to avail of their service and give them a particular timeframe, they will decide for you which technique should they implement in your case, for best results at the given period of time. Brand Attention’s services include Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-Per-Click (PPC), Social Media, Web 2.0, Online Brand Protection and monitoring.

colorpicker.gif It seems that the evolution of design software progresses a lot faster than any other software releases. No wonder, as designers creative mind always in need of more and more tool to expand their creativity.

A couple of days ago I came across a new tool, which is not all that new but to me, and I believe to many readers - it is. You will never guess what does it do. It allows you to pick colors right from your desktop, without having to use Photoshop or any other heavy programs. While Photoshop costs a few hundreds and Color Picker is less than 10$, for an everyday work this is a truly awesome tool. No need to take screenshots and then use the image to pick a color from, all you need to do it have the program activated and point with your mouse at any color on your screen and you get the hex color generated instantly for you to use in your website design, Adsense code, or anywhere else.

A couple of days ago, the guys behind Javascript Regular Expressions Validator contacted me and wanted to have their validator reviewed on my blog. I did not really know what this tool is all about, so I had to go to their site and see for myself what this tool is actually doing.

It’s a very nice product, Web-based regular expressions validator and testing tool. Basically these are all the functions it is doing; however, I personally found the regular expression reference to be a lot more useful than the tool itself. If you are not a pro  with Java (exactly my case), the reference is a very useful, yet short and easy to understand list that includes Assertions and their description, then Quantifiers and their range, and finally a two times longer list of Characters and their matches. You can get to the regular expression reference list by clicking on the small question sign icon at the upper corner of the page.

Also, you have an option of hiding and showing the resources or the library, which allows you to play around and learn more during the process. I believe for Java programmers, developers and users this would be a great tool which can show if the parameters you include in one window are “equal” by their meaning to those in the other field.

Yes, all those of you who are big fans of my digital art can now send my artworks by email to friends, family and your other halves. After a careful selection, I decided to put online only 8 artworks for now, which come in eCard format.

The eCards were made exclusively for 28freecards.com, my electronic greetings service, which is free for all, no registration is required and unlike many email greeting services, our Privacy Policy is strong and guarantees we will never spam your inbox with any commercials, not even newsletters of holidays reminders.  28freecards.com is also absolutely free from pop-ups and blinking commercials, as we believe the pleasure of receiving an eCard from a friend should not be spoilt with annoying adverts. Fantasy Art eCards collection is likely to be enhanced with time, so if you have any requests, please leave a feedback, I will consider all the requests. Enjoy the synergy of art and cyberworld!

loreleiwebforum2.jpg Yesterday I started a new small contest in my Photoshop tutorials forum. The competition is very simple and does not depend on luck or lottery, all you need to do is be a member of Lorelei Web Forum, and refer other members. The more you refer, the bigger are your chances to win. I decided to offer a several prizes that the winner will be able to choose from, including a top level domain name, DeviantArt subscription, or even cash by PayPal.

Over the past few months the forum has undergone through many changes, including adding some more more games to the Arcade, organizing all the tutorials posted on our forum by all the members and many other small modification that were all meant to make our forum better.

So after investing a lot of time improving the board and the quality of our community, I decided that it’s time for a small promotion campaign and refer competition seems like a good start.

Please be sure you read the 4 points of criteria before entering so that you wont end up disqualified. It’s really easy, does not depend of luck, as I said already and if you have many friends you can refer and they will make at least 5 non-spam posts, your chances of grabbing the prize are pretty big, so what are you waiting for? Get in before the summer starts, because the deadline is June 1st! banner_ref-copy.jpg

By “it”, I mean offering a link on his website in exchange for a review of his blog, what else did you think, you dirty minded reader?

Just like me, and many other bloggers, who ceaselessly look for a way to monetize their website, Jon Waraas is a 20 year old online publisher that makes money at home and teaches his visitors also how to do it, generously sharing his secrets of making money online.

I first came to his blog through a link from Eli Bulford’s blog and to be honest was a little suspicious, how “serious” can a marketing oriented blog be that has a semi naked woman on the header..? Don’t get me wrong, I am not a 50-years-old old maid, but it’s just not something you expect to see on a money making blog (though there is a logic behind it). However, bottom line is that blog is memorable in both layout and content, offering quite a few nice tips that will help you to discover many ways of revenue so you can also make money at home. Just like we all do, the bloggers.

It would be a lie to say that I love him, of course I do, but most of all I idolize him for his achievements on the net. I first heard about John Chow through my own blog. Yes, this very blog. Near one of the post, which was related to online revenue, Adsense displayed an advert with John’s blog, offering to teach you how to make money online. Since I couldn’t click my own ad, I just had to copy the URL manually and went to see what is he actually offering.

Well, I was impressed with quite a few things right from the start. First of all, his blog offers tons of articles, tips, tricks for online revenue - free. He is not trying to sell you his ebooks, not begging for donations, or do what other “marketing guru’s” do, trying to get your attention, and then to get you to pay. All you see if free to read, browse and learn. This is exactly the kind of blog I was looking for, for long time now, to subscribe and learn from someone who build himself, built his stable online revenue and shows exactly how he did it and with what network.

I have been visiting his blog for a couple of months now and learnt so many new things, that I never actually thought about. His creativity when it comes to marketing knows no boundaries, makes you smile and wonder how come no one thought about it before, and maybe if someone did, he didn’t blog about it or gave his secrets away, while John does it freely. I particularly enjoyed his “evil” tip to increase subscriptions, and following that tip I embedded some of my links into redirects, another way I was never introduced to before. John updates his blog everyday and practically showers you with ways and opportunities to make money online, so you need to be extra lazy to do not avail of at least one of the ways he is offering you and try yourself with online revenue.

Most of all, I was impressed with his generosity. A rare quality nowadays, I am sure you would agree with me. Not only he gives away so much precious information for free, his blog is also very interactive, and again, the readers benefit from it. For instance, if you write a review of his blog, he will link to your blog (regardless your ranking) and send you a ton of traffic. John Chow dot com has climbed to PR6 upon the recent update, and participating in one of his batches “buys” you a back link that will increase your Technorati profile. This, however, was my sincere review of his blog and I want to use this opportunity and thank him for been my distant teacher and muse. :)

LiveTrio is probably by far the best tool for keeping in touch with your clients in real time. This piece of software saves a lot of time and money, allows you to communicate with customers and see on your screen right away their IP addresses, names and department. The best part about this chat is that it’s entirely web based, i.e. you need not install any plug-ins of third party software, which may crash your computer.

Is it expensive? Nope, it’s damn cheap, currently $9.95 but it’s a limited time offer but you don’t have to buy blindly, you can try it for free, using up to 5 operators at the same time and see how this technology operates in real time. The main advantage of LiveTrio, in my opinion, is that you can chat with visitors and provide support or sort out the issues while viewing their traffic history, information and other interesting facts about their activity on your site. The public chat has a very pleasant blueish interface while you, the site owner, will be able to handle all the requests on a fully featured desktop application which you can minimize on your desktop tray and stay available online for your clients as long as you are online.

The installation is very easy as well, all you need to do is after you have signed up, place the code in your website either as a classical support button or just a text link in your signature, and that is it, the rest is all up to LiveTrio. The only disadvantage I can think of, is that you will be bound to another host’s uptime, as they provide the service through their host and therefore if, for whatever reason, they experience downtime, your support could be unavailable for a while. But let’s not be negative :)
