Today I decided to remove the ads from this blog’s front page, categories pages and archives. The thing is, in order to get many clicks I need to display ads allover the place (which, yes, I do on some other websites) but since I wanted to keep this blog clean and professional, I only had half a banner on the sidebar, which brought nothing but a few clicks a day and for these few clicks a day, I don’t think it’s worth spoiling the look and the feel of this site. We all would agree that adverts do not look good and I just decided that the “income” from ads here is not proportional to the visual damage.
Maybe, someday in the future I will re-think this decision, but for now, let’s keep it Adesnse-free. Another reason for this decision is that I got many emails with questions and requests for article, that I am planning to write and publish soon, in which I might need to use the word “sex”, or maybe some other adult verbal expressions that definitely are not going to be appreciated at Google’s department, so I wouldn’t want 10-20 cents a day to limit my freedom of speech.
Lastly, the site will load a bit faster now, without the Java script!
