After I finally managed to fall asleep I woke up pretty early and had nothing to do, so by 7:30 a.m. I already went downstairs and started nudging for my breakfast. Sitting there and drinking coffee, making cheese with salami sandwiches I couldn’t even imagine in one week from now I will be longing to get back to the place, that now looked so lonely to me…
My dangerous internet friend did not call and I begun to worry something got canceled. I sent him an sms, to which he replied their are on the way, but would be late, because it snows. Snows??? I approached the window and to my total surprise and amazement discovered that it snows indeed even here!
I went back to my room, and about one hour before we were supposed to meet I started to dress, just in case he would arrive earlier and I would not have to say “ooops, lemme dress!”. I doubt it would sound genuine anyway, so I slowly started to pull more and more layers on myself, hoping to survive to the eternal frost outside.

30 minutes before the arranged time, just as I wanted to apply the lipstick, he knocked… I opened the door with slightly trembling heart, with mixed feelings of excitement and fear, anticipation and curiosity..
When I opened the door, I got a big surprise…
No, he did not hold a knife or any other weapon, did not show his teeth, he did not jump on me trying to silence and rape me, he was taller than I had thought and above all, he was very sweet; he had this cute look in his eyes, although I must confess up until the last moment I did take into account it could be some devoted satanist who seduces women online. When he entered I took a step forward to hug him and kiss him, which I believe was totally my initiative, at some point I even felt like I am forcing myself on him and he just had to respond in order not to spoil the moment, at least something did not feel natural to me. At least this is how I felt.
He put his bag down and I started to apply my lipstick, after which he wanted to kiss me but I turned the cheek really far, saying “hey, I have lip gloss!” and he laughed saying “I waited 3 years and she says she has lipstick”. He seemed to be nervous about his friends waiting downstairs and kept rushing me until I eventually was ready. We went down and he introduced me to his friends. One of them was nice, the other was cute, but compared to my “not-dangerous-as-expected” internet friend they were totally nothing, as he was a few light years away more charming and objectively much more handsome.
Tom opened the car’s door for me and sat next to me. As the car started moving towards our destination, two worries occupied my mind. 1 — for the first time in my life I am in a car with 3 totally stranger guys I never met before, in a totally foreign country, going to a totally unknown place. If I would have heard about someone doing it I would probably assume the girl is lacking any judgmental sense, but for some reason, I did trust Tom fully and deep inside was calm. The second concern is that he did not like me, at least he was not looking at me, when I looked him in the eyes — he looked away… What the heck was wrong? Maybe I shouldn’t have wore this sweater, maybe in a blurred small webcam window I just looked better, maybe the 34 size jeans did not look good on a 38 size bottom, or anything else in between but definitely at distance the urge were bigger… Damn.
We arrived in my house, I was blown by the fact that previous owner attended my house and messed some stuff around, the guys checked some technical parts and I went with Tom to talk to our future handsome, handsome to the point it hurts the eyes — neighbor. I suspect he was younger than me, but he also had another disadvantage — he just got married. Damn.
We went back, in a friendly atmosphere, if we can call me listening to foreign language and keeping my mouth shut — “friendly”. Upon arrival we went to a restaurant in Jiricka to drink something and continue discussing the technical part of our meeting. I couldn’t really concentrate on anything because it bugged me “what the f*** he did not like in me?”.

When his friends (finally) ate, laughed, talked, drank, Tom paid for us all with Slovak crowns, which later on turned to be Czech, and they left. We went up to my room, though obviously we did not know what to say or do, or where to put hands apart from the safest alternative — on each other.
He brought me a few incredible art gifts and some snacks with red wine for us to maintain the physical powers. We exchange some compliments and laughed, though the air between us, for some reason, was very heavy and tensed. Guess after the years behind computers we accumulated too much electricity (and solitude).
We talked, fooled around, did plenty of things we never did before though due to Adsense being displayed on this blog I cannot elaborate. It was by all means an unforgettable day with plenty of smallest details to remember forever. My only concern was, by the time we finally decided to sleep, will it still be the same tomorrow..?
