While I often recommend various paid hosts, let’s not forget that some of us can’t afford to pay for hosting or just want to set up one more site, on another hosting IP. It’s not easy to find a good host but there are some good ones out there, one of them is a
provided by k2free.com. You can upload php scripts and get FTP acess, almost like a paid premium hosting, only you get it all for free. Why to say no to a nice freebie account?
No words needed, just go and check it for yourself.
Bear in mind that not all the plug ins proved to be competible with the latest version, the embedded video which we all use, for example, won’t work with 2,5 version so before you run to upgrade make sure you deactivate all the plug ins and activate one by one, checking if they work or not.
Best feature in my opinion is the in-built gallery which will look like this. Those ofuse who are a lil` old fashioned and hate changes are not going to love the new look, but hey, the world is heading forwarded, can’t do much about it. So go and download it ![]()
Up until recently I was looking at Search Engine Optimisation as upon a rather useless investment. However, it’s as essential as Internet Marketing for any eCommerce website or actually any other sort of online business. As long as you make money with your website and need to squeeze the maximum off the best traffic source — SE, paying someone for doing a professional optimization services for you is a must.
Problem starts when you already decided to invest in SEO, but who should you turn to? There are millions of websites online, everyone offers high quality SEO but as you can guess not everyone provides indeed the best service. I’d like to use this opportunity and recommend you services provided by our friends at datadial.net. Their team offers not only SEO but also a bunch of other related services (including even web design and social networks optimization), essential for building and establishing your name in the cyberworld. Check their website for more details and be sure to avail of their services if you decide to put your business online.

Yet another little success - we got featured on the welovewp.com showcase gallery! These are actually great news after 2 days ago when toptut.com seemed to had a bad day… I came online just to find out that all the pages were deleted, plug ins disabled and a few other minor yet annoying problems that continue still! Oh well, thanks “WeLoveWP”!
If you are a designer who makes sponsored wordpress themes, you probably know that the peek of selling sponsored links on the free themes is already behind us. A few months ago it was a real hit, Digital Point Forum was practically over flooded with titles like “sponsor this unique wordpress theme” and now it’s a safe to say the trend is going downhills. Why? Who brought it down?
1. Thank you, Google. Advertisers buy links in order to increase their Ranking and SERP’s in the big G, so with the wave of penalties that advertisers suffered from paid links, quite a lot of them stepped down from the race for sponsored links.
2. Thank you, Rippers. When people start to get paid for something, they also start looking for a way to shorten the path to the cash… and just rip other’s themes. After having bought twice (!) a ripped theme from someone who claimed it to be 100% original, I really lost trust in “wordpress designers”. Moreover, my themes (mainly Modern Magic) was sold and resold and redistributed a several times already (I will not link to the rippers but I did already in my other blog), fighting against the kids who do it is pretty useless. They are all kids, they are all greedy, and they all get pissed off with you if you point out to their rip-off. Bearing all this in mind, advertisers start hesitating to invest hundreds of dollars in a SEO tactic that stands on shaky ethical ground.
3. Thank you, crap designers. While some people rip, others design themselves, but “unique” design does not always mean “good”. Or remotely good. Or somewhat good. We came to the point that there are TOO many

Finally, after having supplied over 7 thousand people with wordpress themes I looked at my own blog and thought that it cries out for a truly unique design. Not just yet another free theme with a different header, but something truly amazing. It took me a few hours to come up with the idea, and about 1 hour to doodle this idea in photoshop, then, after getting some positive feedback about it I decided to get it coded.
I could get the general idea coded but this layout, despite the misleading simple appearance, has its fair share of divisions and slices, so I needed someone professional to do it for me, and luckily Tom from WordpressMania made an absolutely fantastic job on it, it took only 2 days to get the whole psd converted to Wordpress, and it even came ready for gavatars, widgets and various plug-ins that I couldn’t get working with the layout before (wowie!). I’d have never made such a job myself, so endless ‘thank you’ goes once again to Tom for the incredible conversion.
So.. this layout might not be the fastest loading yet, but I will optimize it soon; also, since I sat half the day here modifying and adjusting various bits of the template I could have screwed something, so please report bugs. I can’t guarantee I will fix them, but at least I’d know about them! I hope you will enjoy the new look.
EDIT: Hmm, yeah, the pages links on top will be redone..
I think today, unlike 20 years ago, it’s really hard to succeed and build a notable career unless you have a good knowledge in computers, IT or business. There are not many places where you can get all you need to get your career started, so today I thought I’d recommend you the Global Knowledge. This considered to be the worldwide leader in business and IT training who deliver their education via training centers, private facilities, and even the Internet, which allows almost anyone to take part. This also means a very flexible and easy learning schedule, as YOU choose where and how you want to get your business training. For more information on Cisco training and the Global Knowledge, please visit their website at globalknowledge.com (luckily, a very catchy and memorable domain).
And, this is not only about Cisco, we are talking also about IBM, Microsoft, Networking Systems, programming, and many other IT training ways. Good luck!
